Ability to search issues by Template ID via JQL
Currently, there's no way to locate all tickets that were created using a specific checklist template. JQL doesn't support searching by Template ID, which makes it difficult to audit or report on template usage across projects. Proposed solution: Add support for querying Template IDs directly in JQL, similar to: SmartChecklistTemplateId ~ 14 This would allow admins and users to quickly find all issues associated with a given template, which would be especially useful for auditing, reporting, and cleanup tasks at scale.
Importing images into details and checklists
In order to track our work a bit better, I would like to have the ability to enter pictures or other files into the details of a checklist If possible also to be visible with the checklist open, or just to open it as a pop-up
Organize Checklist Templates
Add the ability to organize checklist templates more efficiently: reorder templates and sort templates alphabetically for easier navigation.
Ability to hide specific checklist sections or items by user groups.
Add the ability to show or hide checklist sections in the Jira issue view based on user groups.
Checklist Comments
Ability to add comments to checklist item (don’t confuse with detailed information). A user could comment on a item from the checklist to provide more context about the status of that specific item
Support Custom Checklist Statuses in the "Set Checklist Item Status" Automation
Currently, the Set Checklist Item Status automation action only allows selecting from the four predefined statuses. However, Smart Checklist custom checklist statuses are not available when configuring automation rules. Users should be able to select from all statuses available in the checklist configuration for the project/instance, including custom statuses.
Allow non-admins to create/manage templates
Allow users without Global Admin or Project Admin permissions to create and manage checklist templates.
Option to Display Checkboxes Only (Hide Statuses)
Provide an option to display checkboxes only by hiding checklist item statuses in the issue view, enabling users to work exclusively with checkboxes.
Ability to remove Smart Checklist updates from the Jira History tab
Smart Checklist comes with its own history tab. However, this also appears in the native Jira issue History tab, and this can cause confusion. A problem users can face is the Jira issue history looking very complex to read because there are too many changes to the fields "Smart Checklist", "Smart Checklist Progress" and "Checklists" making it harder for users to see the relevant information.
Allow selection of assignee/due date when using Linked Templates
We are looking to use checklists to ensure process is followed across multiple projects in our team. We want to use Linked Templates so that the checklists are consistent. Each project will have a different team working on them. Currently we cannot use the Assignee or Due Date concept as these are part of the template, and not able to be set on the individual checklist items when added to a ticket. This would mean we would need the same Assignee on all projects which is not practical for us. Idea is to allow Assignee and Due Date to be set per instantiation of the checklist when added onto a ticket. Even better if we could also write automation rules to modify the assignee and due date.

Select Different Statuses
We can select different statuses per item in the Checklist, but we cannot do that with the block of items, it’d be great to have a feature in there like the individual items within a checklist. Please check my screenshot as a reference. Is it in your roadmap? Where it says Check all items, it sets everything as Done, it’d be great to have all the available statuses as that will make us way more agile. Thanks
Validate completion of a specific checklist tab or header on transition
Smart Checklist supports multiple checklists per Jira issue, organized into tabs and headers. This allows teams to break long checklists into smaller, meaningful phases (e.g. Definition of Ready, Definition of Done). Currently, issue transitions can only be blocked based on the completion of the entire checklist. This feature could be extended to validate the completion of a specific checklist tab or header instead. (e.g. block the issue transition if Definition of Done checklist is not completed)
Checklist Progress Dashboard Gadget
Display aggregated checklist progress across issues, grouped by Project and Epic.
Send notifications to assignees only when the assigned checklist item is edited
Currently Smart Checklist sends notifications to assigned users everytime the checklist is edited. It would be helpful if the assignee got the notification only when first assigned, or if the assigned checklist item is edited.

Automatically import a default checklist template based on multiple triggers. For example: combine conditions like Issue Created and Issue Updated to ensure templates are added exactly when needed across different scenarios.
