Due Dates reminder notifications

Use case is a checklist item that is assigned to a user, with a due date.

It would make it easier to manage checklists if there could be a reminder notification to the assignee of the checklist items that are assigned to them as the due date draws near.

I could imagine two forms of this policy:

  • Where a user gets a notification for all the checklist items coming due on a single ticket.

  • A digest form where a single notification lists all Jira tickets with a checklist item open to them, listing each checklist item under its parent ticket.

I meant “So the settings are common to all users of the Space”…

The way I would do it is:

    1) Have a Notifications configuration section that the Admin role controls. This is to turn on/off notifications at a Space level. Alternatively you could have a setting within each Space.

    2) If you can do it, add a checklist section for each user account notification settings in Jira (accessed via clicking my icon in top right). Add similar settings for Email batching or not, notification choices.

If 2) is not possible then perhaps having those same notification choices for all users accessing a space would be good enough. So the settings are for all users in the Space.

    Hi @JPalmer

Thank you for another great feedback entry.

We are curious… Could you share how you would envision setting up these notifications? Would you like to set them up per user/per space/per Jira site?

These details would help us see your vision.

    Cheers.
